Why Still Operating Exists

After a brain injury, everyday life can change in ways you never expected. Tasks that once seemed automatic may suddenly require planning, adaptation, assistance—or a completely different approach. Still Operating was created to provide practical tools, information, and resources that help survivors and their caregivers navigate those changes and move forward with greater confidence.

What We Do

Still Operating develops practical resources designed to help people living with the effects of stroke, traumatic brain injury, and other brain injuries navigate everyday life. Our resources are built around real-world challenges—getting organized, making the home safer, managing responsibilities, understanding options, and figuring out what comes next.

For Caregivers

Recovery rarely affects one person alone. Caregivers often have to balance support, safety, appointments, household responsibilities, and their own needs. Still Operating provides resources designed to help caregivers understand what may be needed, stay organized, and support recovery without losing sight of their own well-being.

Our Approach

Our approach is simple: provide practical information that is clear, accessible, and useful in everyday life. We focus on real-world solutions rather than theory, with resources designed to help people make informed decisions, adapt to change, and take the next step toward greater independence.

About the Founder

Still Operating was founded by Clark Ferguson. Over the years, Clark has been an Engineer, Project Manager, College Instructor, and lastly a Stroke Survivor, the latter becomming the impetus for Still Operating.

His professional experience and firsthand experience navigating life after a stroke helped shape the mission of Still Operating: to provide practical resources to help other survivors and their caregivers navigate the everyday challenges that come after a brain injury.

Damaged, but not broken—you’re Still Operating!
